Wedderburn College is located in the North Central district of Victoria in the town of Wedderburn. In 2010, 244 students were enrolled. The College is one of 22 schools in the Bendigo Network in the Loddon Mallee Region. The College's purpose is to provide a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment that equips all students with the necessary values, skills and knowledge to become contributing members of our community and society. The values which form the basis of the actions of the community are responsibility, respect, doing your best, positive relationships and honesty. The College operates a sub-school structure, P-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 and is focussed on providing a comprehensive, broad curriculum. The College has extended the “Netbook” program, to include all students in Years 5-12 and is preparing for the introduction of the Ultranet. A wide range of extracurricular programs are offered including dramatic productions, Instrumental Music, Advance, public speaking, sports and debating. The College has a whole school approach to student welfare involving the Solving the Jigsaw program which focuses on building a culture of well-being. The College has 31.6 equivalent full time staff: 2 Principal class, 23.6 teachers and 9 Education Support staff.
