St Kieran Catholic Primary School is a co-educational school comprised of 485 students from the Three Year Old program to Year 6. The school encourages students to aspire to the Mission - Learning through faith, love and justice - in all facets of their lives. St Kieran offers a holistic education, embracing the spiritual, religious, intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of all students, where relationships and learning are both important. The school has a number of programs including; Gifted and Talented; literacy and numeracy support across all years; Reading Recovery in the first two years of formal schooling to accelerate literacy learning for target students; two Special Education High Needs Support Units with the majority of students being supported in mainstream classrooms; and an Early Intervention Program for students in the early years with special needs. Integration of ICT in the classroom is also important. A broad range of extra-curricular activities in sport, music, and drama, and a range of academic competitions are also offered. Intra and Inter-School sporting competitions, and broad student leadership experiences in Year 6 both highlight the quality of pastoral care provided to students.
