St Joseph's Primary School is situated in the small rural town of Junee. Our school, St Joseph's, is Christ centred, guided by its motto "Christ Our Way". All school community members endeavour to facilitate each child's journey by being dynamic in direction and strong in service. We affirm the dignity of the individual and cater for each student's and family's needs by honouring differences in abilities, culture and interest while respecting each person's journey. At St Joseph's Primary School, all staff believe wstrongly in the education of the whole child, catering for the student's socila, spiritual, physical and intellectual growth. We are committed to educating students to be lifelong learners, and through the first seven years of formative education we give each child the opportunity to become meaningful learners, who can inquire, be self responsible, be collaborative and have an awareness of the community around them. We aim to create a sense of belonging that will nurture the growth of all students, and help create a healthy self-esteem, so necessary for learning. St Joseph's is a school that strives for excellence in the Religious, Academic, Sporting and Cultural areas of education. Our school offers each student the opportunity to attain academically by honouring their achievements and recognising their strengths. In the sport and cultural areas the students are supported and encouraged in their endeavours. Students compete successfully in Eisteddfods in speech and drama, choral verse speaking, music and dance. Students compete at local and state levels in school and diocesan sport and there are opportunities to compete in weekend football, touch football, soccer, cricket, basketball and netball. Our staff ensures that discipline is just and fair so that it nurtures strong values and morals that promote self responsibility and good citizenship.
