St Joseph's is a Catholic school located in the small rural town of Warialda situated in North West NSW. St Joseph's School was established by the Sisters of St Joseph's in 1904. The school curriculum endeavours to cater for the needs of all children, assisting them in the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes that help them grow into responsible adults. The school provides a contemporary and relevant curriculum based on the NSW Board of Studies syllabi and has a dedicated Religious Education Program. St Joseph's achieves its mission with a small dedicated staff who encourage students to achieve their full potential. Students have access to remediation programmes as part of the additional needs programme of the school. Gifted and Talented students are regularly part of the Brain Olympia Challenge, a gifted and talented initiative of the Armidale Diocese. At St Joseph's, all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 have access to ipods, ipads, laptop and desktop computers, wireless internet and Smart Board Technology. Students have access to a number of sporting opportunities, such as swimming, athletics, touch football, netball, cross country and regularly represent the school at Diocesan and State levels. The school believes in representing, participating in and supporting community events. These include: ANZAC Day Marches, Memorial services, the Agricultural Show, and our local annual events such as Rhythm on the Reedy, the Honey Festival and Carols by Candle Light. St Joseph's students work to help the wider community through a school based "Mini Vinnies" group, a child focused St Vincent de Paul association. Mini Vinnies aims to raise money for the less fortunate. St Joseph's School has a strong relationship with the local High School for transition from Primary to High School and this has greatly benefited the students.
