Warrnambool Primary School is committed to providing a high quality education that will enable all students to achieve to the maximum of their potential and prepare them for positive futures. The school had an enrolment of 627 children at the February Census with a staff of 42.35 EFT. This includes 2 Principal Class Officers and 7.8 EFT ES staff. There were 8.6 EFT PSD students and another 60 supported by the LSP. There were 16 identified koorie students. The school provides opportunities that ensure all students can learn and grow in confidence and self esteem becoming selfmotivated and self-reliant learners; achieving high standards of literacy and numeracy; acquiring decision-making; problem solving and critical thinking skills; developing strong interpersonal and social relationships; and, learning to function effectively as part of a cooperative learning environment which takes into account the diversity in student learning needs, attributes and learning competencies. The school is committed to: supporting parent involvement in all aspects of school life; consultation and democratic decision-making both for the parent/community and for staff; whole-school consultative planning; comprehensive communication and responsive and inclusive school management processes. The school is supported by a 13 member School Council, with 10 elected members and 3 community members.
