Caulfield Junior College is a unique primary school with 72 % of students from a LBOTE and the French Section Elective program which sees students alternate between the mainstream and FSE progams. Student learning is inquiry focussed with high importance placed on the development of each student’s learning potential through challenge, investigation, reflection, lateral and critical thinking. The staff is comprised of two Principal Class Officers and 22.9 FTE teachers. Attention is paid to the individual needs, academic, social and emotional, of all students. The aim of this practice is to cater for individual differences and enhance the chance for connection and positive emotional dialogue between the student and school life. The integration of Information Communication Technologies throughout the curriculum strengthens the stimulating programs offered. Caulfield Junior College is an Internationally Acredited school, boasts the French Section Elective Program, a Hebrew Immersion Program and a range of additional enrichment programs including a sister school exchange program. The school has also recently introduced a comprehensive P-6 camping program. Parents are fully involved with the school, through school council, fundraising, supporting new families and generally creating a warm, community feel.
