Natte Yallock Primary School was first opened in 1874. It serves a local farming community and nearby townships. It is situated 30km west of Maryborough and 20km north of Avoca. The school is serviced by a bus service that collects students from a radius of approximately 15km. There were 2.4 equivalent full-time staff at Natte Yallock 1 Principal (acting in 2010), 1 teacher and .4 Education Support Staff. A number of changes took place with teacher staffing thoughout the year. During the year the Federally funded building re-furbishment of the older rooms was completed as well as provision of improved sporting facilities. Natte Yallock Primary School strives to equip students with the capacity to manage themselves and their relationships with others as well as to understand and function within our community as our school centres its educational purpose around the development of community leaders. We offer programs in all curriculum areas with emphasis on numeracy and literacy as well as information and communications technology. Our current direction within the school's strategic plan is to strengthen student numeracy and writing , strengthen student engagement and increase confidence when transiting, into, through and beyond primary school.
