St Joan of Arc School is a Catholic parish primary school nestled in the heart of Brighton. It caters for the needs of Prep to Year 6 students in a co-educational setting. Established in 1921 under the guidance of the Presentation Sisters, the school is now governed by a lay Principal and staff and has an enrolment of approximately 290 students. The high demand for places has resulted in most students being Catholic residents within the parish boundaries. A school is not Catholic because it teaches certain doctrines or creeds; rather, it is recognised as a place where children grow to live a faith that impacts and penetrates all areas of their life.
