Cranbourne Secondary College is a large school with 1398 students, 4 Principal Class Officers, 86 full time teaching and 29 educational support staff. The school services a diverse community with a significant number of students representing more than 20 different cultural backgrounds. Our school is committed to continuously improving student learning. Our purpose is to provide a challenging and stimulating learning environment where students work independently and interdependently and take responsibility for their own learning. We also provide individual career pathways and the literacy and numeracy skills and attitudes necessary to live, work and participate positively in a the local and broader communitytechnologically driven global community. Our school's expectations for students, staff and parents are based on our values: Pride, Respect, Integrity, Commitment and Enthusiasm. We believe these values underpin success in all we do in life and learning. The school reinforces these values through its Pastoral Care Program in Years 7 and 8 and its distinctive Year 9 program that promotes inquiry and independent thinking. Students in Years 10 -12 have access to a diverse range of programs and pathways including VCE, VET and VCAL. The College is proud of the redevelopment of its learning environment. In excess of $8m has been spent on creating new and refurbished teaching spaces since 2004.
