Nagle College is a comprehensive Catholic girls’ school. It was begun by the Presentation Sisters in 1965 to provide quality education for girls. The Christian values of compassion, inclusivity, justice and service to others, embodied in our College motto, In Deed not Word, permeate every aspect of the College. The school achieves its mission by encouraging each student to develop her talents, reaching higher in her expectations of herself. Our academic tradition is well established and our aim is always to look for further improvement. Our senior students receive offers for a wide variety of university courses. Some are awarded prestigious scholarships, others seek further education and training at Technical And Further Education (TAFE) or through private colleges. Our junior students continually strive for academic excellence and achieve outstanding results in a variety of external competitions including the Maths Challenge and Tournament of the Minds. The Quality Teaching Framework has increased staff awareness of how to raise each student‘s learning. An extensive framework of programs related to improving student outcomes exists, including intervention strategies, after school study skills and challenge classes. Learning support teachers assist in the modification of programs and assessment tasks and develop gifted and talented programs. We are actively involved in our local community through our annual participation in the Blacktown City Parade, regular visits to the local nursing home and blood donations through Red Cross. The school supports the work of the Presentation Sisters in Aitape, Papua New Guinea. As a Catholic community, we also actively support Project Compassion and St Vincent de Paul. We are proud of our excellent facilities including hall, dance studio and well equipped library. Innovative use of technology exists as part of our teaching and learning practice. Our 1:1 laptop program in Years 9 and 10 further enhances students’ engagement in 21st century learning. The College boasts a..
