Palinyewah Public School provides quality education for all students in a safe and caring environment where positive working relationships are highly valued. Students travel from the pastoral areas north of the school and from the surrounding Ellerslie Irrigation Area. The school is located on the bank of the Darling River within the horticultural area of Ellerslie and is well supported by parents and the local community.At the start of 2012 there will be 12 students enrolled at the school from Kindergarten to year 6. This small student population ensures that each student recieves a high degre of individual attention and is supported by a high level of pastoral care. Staff and parents have regular contact and work together towards educational goals. Plainyewah Public School has a strong focus on respecting students' backgrounds, skills and priorities while building on a solid foundation of learning in Literacy and Numeracy. Students are encouraged to become completely engaged in all areas of learning. Students are supported and encouraged to value education through the delivery of quality teaching and learning programs with an emphasis on engagement and relevance.
