Camberwell Primary School provides learning in a meaningful, English/French, bilingual environment. Building on second language and brain development research, we continue to focus learning on analytical, critical and creative thinking to further enhance student opportunities with a view to their further schooling and future careers in a global world. CPS has 33 equivalent full time staff, comprising of 2 Principal class, 31.3 teachers and 6.5 Education Support staff. Creative school structures enable us to provide core subjects and a range of extra-curricular opportunities as well as specialised, high quality programs such as Music, Art and Physical Education in English; and Science and Dance/Voice in French. Camberwell Primary School maintains a culture of performance and is committed to a continuous improvement. Completion of a new building will provide new learning spaces and resources in 2011. A strong community culture and high level of communication support productive relationships between School Council, Parents' Association and the school. These valued relationships encourage student learning, enable effective home/school partnerships and provide opportunities for parent/carer participation in classrooms, fundraising and social activities.
