Highvale Primary School is committed to the academic, physical, social and personal development of each of our 240 students. Our school is recognised for its academic excellence and the outstanding achievements of our students, matching the high aspirations of parents. Highvale provides high quality, differentiated learning programs in all curriculum areas, attaining excellent levels of student achievement in English and Mathematics as evidenced through a variety of data including the National Assessment Program. Our diverse curriculum includes specialist learning programs in LOTE (Mandarin and German), Physical Education, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. A variety of enrichment, extra-curricular and support programs within and outside of regular classes further enhance learning programs as we strive for continuous improvement . A strong commitment to the integration of our environmental ‘learnscape’, the use of contemporary Information and Communication Technologies and thinking strategies further combine to provide an engaging and flexible learning program. Parent and community participation is highly valued at Highvale. A significant level of parent and community involvement is evidenced through an active school council, various committees and Parents and Friends Association. As well, parents volunteer as classroom helpers and coaches and participate in fundraising and social activities. Highvale also offers an excellent Outside School Hours Care and holiday program. In 2010 our staff consisted of 2 principal class,11.8 teaching staff and 3.8 support staff .
