Surrey Hills PS provide a seamless educational journey that values and addresses each individual and their role as a citizen in their immediate and global communities. Our learning zones provide 21st century open and flexible learning spaces for all students. The school has 22.8 equivalent full time staff with 3 Principal Class, 18.95 teachers and 3.9 Education Support Staff. A Community Precint incorporating a stadium, indoor /outdoor Performing Arts studio, multi-purpose and community meeting rooms provides opportunities for all students and teachers to be active life-long learners which is central to our current and future practice. The learning and teaching programs develops initiative, cooperation, independence and excellence. Over the next four years our school will focus on individualised learning, high expectactions, Inquiry learning and ICT. We recognise that students have different learning styles and it is through specialist and immersion programs in PE and Sport; Visual and Performing Arts and cultural awareness through LOTE; Music programs, camps, excursions and special activity days that we are able to extend learning opportunities for all our students.
