St Joseph's School, Peak Hill is a small K-6 Catholic school in the Diocese of Wilcannia-Forbes. It is a place of education that embraces the whole child spiritually, academically, physically and emotionally. Because of this, Christ is central to our teaching, learning and everyday interactions. The parish church is St James and the parish coordinator resides in Peak Hill and is actively involved in the life of our school. Our parish priest travels from Narromine on a regular basis to celebrate Mass with the children and the community. A broad educational curriculum emphasising literacy and numeracy is a priority at St Joseph's. The staff adapt learning programs to address the needs of individual students and provide opportunities for students to participate in academic, creative, cultural and sporting activities. St Joseph's endeavours to foster a faith community in which every child will feel safe, loved and encouraged. We endeavour to be sensitive to the needs of individual children and to develop positive relationships. Our children are encouraged to be involved as good citizens within the wider Peak Hill community. St Joseph's school is built on strong relationships between staff, children, parents and the wider community. The Parents and Friends Association work tirelessly to provide extra funds and resources for our school. The school plays an active role in Peak Hill community events and in return our school is strongly supported by groups and individuals within the wider community
