Deepwater Public School, established in 1884, is a small school in the New England Region . The school is part of a widespread cluster of schools developing as part of the Celtic Country Learning Community. The school receives Priority School Funding (PSP), is part of the Country Areas Program (CAP) and has received recognition for its performing arts and citizenship programs. The school is an active member of the State Small Schools' Marimba Ensemble. Staff are experienced and dedicated and are committed to improving student learning outcomes. Students and parents are proud to be a part of the Deepwater Public School community with many long term traditions in place. The school provides education for students drawn from the local rural area. School structure consists of K to 6 multi-grade classes with two full-time and one part-time teacher and a school administration manager. National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy results for 2008 show that all students are achieving stage outcomes in literacy and numeracy with several students achieving significantly above stage expectations.
