Hale School is one of WA's oldest independent boys' schools. Located in Wembley Downs, the campus is situated on a magnificent 48 hectare site, approximately 13km to the north-west of Perth and 2km from the coast. Hale School is an Anglican day and boarding school for boys from Year 1 to Year 12. Our appeal as a school rests in our strong sense of community, the values we celebrate, our commitment to realising the potential of each and every young man in our care, and in providing a balanced education that addresses the academic, social, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of our students' lives. Hale School has a long and proud history of achievement, dating back to 1858, but we are focused on meeting the contemporary needs of our students and preparing them for the world of tomorrow. Learning how to learn is a purposeful and explicit part of the curriculum through instruction in information and communication technology, and in lessons in information literacy and the guided enquiry process. Our IT platform includes all boys in Years 7 to 9 owning their own tablet computer in addition to boys across the school having access to desktop and notebook computers. The School provides an integrated and balanced co-curricular programme that provides opportunities for students to develop their character and their sense of teamwork as well as testing their personal limits. Our Outdoor Education programme commences in Year 5 and progresses through to the pinnacle programme held based in the Exmouth Gulf in the north of WA. Performing Arts are integral to a Hale School education with Drama and Music engaging the vast majority of students as they move through the school. Annual overseas trips expand the learning horizons for boys in both these learning areas and the partnership with our sister school St Mary's Anglican Girls' School is no more evident than in this domain.
