Beachlands Primary School was opened in October, 1956. It is the smallest of the government schools in the Geraldton Township. The school caters for approximately 170 students who attend Meekawaya Aboriginal Kindergarten and Beachlands Primary School. The school community is multicultural represented by approximately 50% Indigenous also Malay, New Zealand, Philippine, South African, French and Fijian. The school has a reputation for offering an inclusive education. The school enables students to become independent, life long learners acquiring skills and knowledge, necessary to cope with the changing world. Within a stimulating environment, students are supported by an actively involved school community and committed, flexible staff who share a common philosophy. The school recognises the importance of community involvement and endeavours to foster and maintain partnerships with industry, business, and agencies, as well as the local community and parent groups. Interaction within and outside of the school reflects our motto of 'Caring and Sharing'. Students and staff promote the motto by regularly being involved in fundraising opportunities for those identified as being in need.
