A very successful prep program is a feature of the school, providing many opportunities for students to apply their learning in an exciting, personal, authentic environment. Literacy and Numeracy programs reflect the school's vision of learning that develops deep understanding and is purposeful. Strategies to improve numeracy instruction include the engagement of a mathematics expert to provide professional development in creating best-practice mathematics learning environments. Literacy approaches incorporate the explicit teaching of reading skills in the context of student choice, dialogue and thinking skills. In addition, we have vibrant specialist programs in science, art, physical education and music. Our science program operates in a dedicated laboratory from grade three to six, providing excellent preparation for secondary school learning.
