Hobart College is a spacious campus set in bushland with views to Mount Wellington. The excellent facilities at Mt Nelson mean students are able to engage in a wide range of healthy and stimulating activities whilst on campus. There are bushland jogging tracks, extensive sports and recreational facilities, a six hundred seat theatre, student lounge, campus radio station, a vibrant music and art department, including a public art gallery, fully equipped industrial kitchen and accredited working café, and comprehensive IT facilities. Hobart College is a safe and inclusive environment which supports and nurtures all students. It is a very multicultural campus, welcoming many international and exchange students, and there are regular cultural exchanges with schools in China, Korea and Japan. The College is also part of the Goethe Institute international network of PASCH Schools. As well as offering a full range of TCE subjects, students have the opportunity to enrol in Certificate Courses and the UTAS High Achiever Program. Teachers at Hobart College aim to ensure that all students reach their highest potential by providing programs which enrich and engage. We believe all students have the capacity to learn and to be successful and we set high standards in the pursuit of excellence. We have strong partnerships with parents, the wider community and industry. All students are part of a comprehensive Pastoral Care Program which aims to provide students with a holistic education. This includes an extensive enrichment program with activities such as tutorial support, debating, student leadership and social action groups, performing arts, cultural and sporting activities.
