Avila College is a vibrant Catholic secondary college committed to the education of young women in a caring and stimulating Christian environment. The College, with a student population of approximately 1170 girls, boasts a modern campus in Mount Waverley in Melbourne's south-east. Established in 1965 under the guidance of the Presentation Sisters, the College philosophy embraces the understanding that each student is an individual. Each student is encouraged to reach her fullest potential spiritually, socially and academically in order to develop as a whole person and become a valuable member of society. We foster in each of our students, self-worth, confidence, independent thinking, a life-long love of learning, resilience, strong interpersonal skills, and a sense of belonging. The College offers more than 40 VCE subjects together with VET and VCAL programs and exciting co-curricular opportunities and community-based involvements.
