The Academy of Mary Immaculate is the oldest girls' secondary College in Victoria having been established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1857. The College caters to students from Years 7 to 12 who come from a wide area of Melbourne. The College Vision, Mission and Values statement provides the focus for all that happens at the College. The Academy of Mary Immaculate is a vibrant learning community grounded in the spirit and tradition of Mercy. The College educates young women to develop knowledge, skills and attributes that will empower them as global citizens of the 21st Century. VCE and VCAL pathways are available for students, with the College offering over 30 VCE and VET subjects. Students are fortunate to be able to study Japanese, French and Italian through to Year 12. Students undertake their VET subjects within the Inner Melbourne VET Cluster. The Academy offers an extensive pastoral care program with both the Student Welfare Consultant and Careers Consultant working closely with staff and students. While the College is rich in history and tradition we also provide a modern and dynamic environment to lead the students into the future and prepare them for their life journey.
