Darwin High School is co-located at Bullocky Point Education Precinct next to Darwin Middle School, close to Darwin's city centre. The school is one of only two government schools in Darwin that cater purely for senior students, offering NT Board of Studies, SACE Board and VET courses. The core values of the school are; Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Cooperation and Achievement. Darwin High School is relatively large in comparison with other NT schools. The student population is comprised of many different cultural backgrounds, with a large number of overseas students. The school has a specialist Intensive English Unit. The school also offers a program that targets the development of students of high performance, and provides a number of mentorship programs for poor attendees. Darwin High School also operates a Study Centre for students identified as needing additional support and has various flexible learning opportunities as well as a variety of extra-curricular activities. Darwin High School is a Centre for Excellence in Mathematics and Science, a Charles Darwin University Teaching School and a registered training provider for the delivery of vocational education and training.
