Huntingdale Primary School is committed to excellence and providing highly effective, innovative programs to equip children of all abilities with the values, skills and knowledge to reach their full potential; extending and supporting them in their endeavours to become creative and productive members of a new global community. In 2010 we were nominated for a DEECD Innovation Award as a result and in 2011 we are finalists in the DEECD Excellence Awards. Our commitment to preparing our 240 students for success in a Global 21st Century through differentiated teaching and learning programs attracts students from both the local neighbourhood and a wide range of suburbs. Our outstanding workforce comprises the Principal, Assistant Principal / Teaching and Learning Coach, 11 Classroom Teachers with additional roles in extension and enrichment Literacy and Mathematics, 5 Japanese Specilaist teachers, 2 Office Staff and 5 part-time Teaching Assistants. Our students are taught through two languages, English and Japanese, two cultures and view the world through an international lens. Our Bilingual Language Immersion Programme operates for 7.5 hours per week and encompasses 2.5 hours of LOTE and one hour of Humanities, Science, PE or eLearning, Art and Music which are all taught in and through Japanese.
