Inglewood Primary School is a delightful inner city school established in 1914 with a tradition of providing an education that promotes academic excellence, the arts and physical education in an environment of respect for self and others. On a small school site, over 350 students work and play together under the school motto of 'Caring and Sharing'. 120 kindergarten and pre-primary students attend off-site facilities. Staff are experienced, well qualified and committed to implementing the School Plan. The Learning Support Team (LST) plays a pivotal role in supporting students with special needs. The Virtues program is instilled across the school. In 2009, $3,000,000 for the Building Education Revolution will result in a new library and four classrooms. The $200,000 School Pride money will be used to resurface the bitumen, replace windows, replace the verandah and improve fencing. The P&C Association plays an active role through fundraising, committees and special events which engender a strong community feeling and sense of ownership that is an important feature of the school. The P&C Arts Enrichment program supports an annual artist in residence that benefits the whole school.
