Reece High School was built in 1955, but destroyed by fire in 2000, reopening as a school for the 21st century in 2003. The new school was built around a vision developed through extensive consultation, creating a community school focused on building strong partnerships with families. We deliver a rich curriculum through inter-disciplinary contexts supported by intensive focused learning in literacy and numeracy academic and vocational pathways. The provision of a personalised curriculum in the senior school and rich opportunities and support programs in the junior school focuses on each child and what they need to realise their potential. School policy is developed through consultation with students and families with emphases on student voice and student leadership. Reece High is committed to the mental and physical health and wellbeing of all students, training student leaders to support their peers. With a view to prepare students for participation in the global community, Reece High focuses on the full integration of technology, building understanding about Australia's place in the world and ensuring that students have the knowledge and skill to be successful beyond Year 10.
