Montello Primary School overlooks the port of Burnie on the North West coast of Tasmania. We have approximately 300 students and 40 staff, including teachers, and support staff. We offer quality learning programs from Kindergarten to Grade 6 as well as opportunities for families of young children from Birth to 4. Montello Primary School is committed to providing learning programs which meet the needs of individual children to improve learning outcomes across literacy, numeracy , the arts and other learning areas. We are continually searching for ways to improve the teaching and learning to ensure our programs are innovative and research based, and directing resources to areas of need. We offer a range of additional programs to involve families and cater for the diverse learning needs and interests of our students. We have forged strong connections in our community to offer opportunities to learn life skills such as resilience building in partnership with the local PCYC, Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program, Billy’s program in partnership with Communities for Children and Breakfast Club.
