Heatherton Christian College is an independent Christian co-educational school for students from Prep to Year 12. The College was established in 1999 with just 27 students from Prep to Grade 4. From humble beginnings the College has experienced rapid growth. The College is expected to grow to its capacity of 650 students in the next five to seven years. Heatherton Christian College has gained a strong reputation in the community for its excellent academic results; fantastic teaching staff; pastoral care; and the wide range extra-curricular programs offered. The distinctive of Heatherton Christian College is its warm, caring and nurturing environment. The teachers are handpicked for their professionalism and are experienced in a variety of learning fields. All of the staff fully embraces the Christian ethos and values of the College. The College is non-denominational. A variety of subjects is offered at VCE level, tailored to the individual needs of the students. The school is committed to small class sizes, currently averaging 21 students per class in primary and 15 students per class in secondary. This enables teachers to spend more quality individual time with each student.
