St Sebastian's is an inner-city Brisbane Catholic primary school in the riverside suburb of Yeronga. Our school was founded by the Sisters of St Joseph on January 27, 1937. St Sebastian's school motto is 'Live in Faith and Love', and this captures the essence to which we aspire. The motto reflects the Catholic ideals that are at the heart of our community and also reflects the attitudes and values that we aim for in the relationships that are built amongst our students, staff, parents and care-givers. In 2009 St Sebastian's provides an inclusive learner-centred approach to education, and we strive for excellence in everything we do. St Sebastian's currently has around 270 children enrolled across eleven learning groups with children from Prep to Year 7. We have an excellent band and choir that supports a variety of community activities. Our learning framework enhances the total development of all children, spiritually, academically, morally, socially, physically, emotionally and culturally so they are able to contribute actively and responsibly in society St Sebastian's encourages children to grow in the Catholic faith and develop values consistent with the teachings of Christ.
