The Lakes College is a Uniting Church school in North Lakes with about 375 students. The College will be a Prep to Year 12 school by 2013. Christian values underpin all endeavours. The College strives to achieve its mission by employing dedicated and committed staff who value all students and encourage strong partnerships with parents and the local community. The College is proud of the focus on providing opportunities for students to develop their intellect, character and spirit. The strong academic program focuses on high quality outcomes in core subjects with individual attention provided to students. Students learn Chinese from Prep. The music program is thriving, with every student in the primary school learning a musical instrument and participating in choirs and performance groups. The sport program strengthens every year with outstanding support for soccer, cricket and netball. The extensive extra-curricular program provides for the development of talent and a variety of interests for all students. College Care provides after, and before, school and vacation care. The College plays a role in the community by supporting local events and organisations and organising an annual Fun Run which draws hundreds of participants from the local community.
