Keebra Park SHS offers students the opportunity to experience a personalised pathway from Year 8 to the successful completion of Year 12 in a small, supportive caring environment. The broad curriculum caters for both academic and vocationally oriented students. The professional and experienced staff provides effective teaching in academic domains and intensive support for all students in every aspect of learning and personal development. Featuring International and National Science achievements, Keebra now boasts a state of the art Science Centre. Students enrolled in CSIRO Crest, Eureka, BHP Billiton Awards and many other regional, Queensland and Australian competitions may now progress their research projects to international levels using the industry standard Microbiology, Chemistry and Physics Laboratories. All are complete with smartboard, overhead zoom camera, data projector and associated peripherals. In Years 8 and 9, students may participate in the Academic Excellence Program which provides academic extension in the domains of English, Science, SOSE, Maths and Technology. Keebra Park is well known for its feats in Rugby League having reached the Australian Schoolboys' Finals in 2005, 2006, 2009 (winners) and 2010. The highly successful Rugby League (boys) and Touch (girls) programs are offered from Years 8 to 12. The Rugby League Program provides a unique and focused learning environment to develop game skills, strategies, specific fitness, training and nutrition regimes sufficient to potentially launch an NRL career. The Arts are also well represented in our curriculum offerings. Students are able to study Dance, Music, Drama and Visual Art. The school is one of few offering the prestigious Music Extension program.
