Situated in pleasant surroundings Lansdowne Crescent Primary School enjoys an unsurpassed view over the city to the Derwent estuary and eastern shores of Hobart. The school consists of 5 blocks of classrooms in well laid out spacious grounds. Catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6 in both single year and composite classes, children are taught using a variety of teaching approaches ranging from large group activities to specialist activities. Approximately 330 children attend our school and they are all encouraged to develop skills, knowledge and understanding across the whole spectrum of the curriculum so that each may have opportunities to realise full potential. We aim to be a centre of educational excellence set in a community which is fully involved in its activities and to work together with the parents to create a climate where learning is valued, children are safe and secure and where the partnership between school and parents continues to be productive and mutually supportive.
