Cleveland High is a Secondary School of approximately 1250 Year 8 to 12 students. The school was founded in 1956 and is the oldest secondary school in the Redlands. We are the only school in the Redlands which has achieved accreditation from the Council of International Schools in recognition of meeting the standards approved by the Council. The Council of International Schools Accreditation Service has praised the following work that has either been completed or substantially undertaken - the development of a contemporary learning pedagogy and student management approach, emphasis on the development of pedagogical skills and improving teaching and learning in the school, the implementation of additional information and communication technology resources and their utilisation to improve pedagogy across the whole school, the work carried out within subject faculties to develop cross-curricular links and to provide opportunities for students to develop greater awareness of international and intercultural relationships and the development of staff appraisal practices to provide increasingly targeted professional development and to provide a clear priority for whole-school professional development.
