Northside Christian College (est. 1979) seeks to provide an excellent education and an inclusive, caring Christian community for students Prep to Yr 12. We celebrate a diverse community which includes families from many Christian traditions and ethnic backgrounds. Teachers come to this College with a sense of calling to teach well and to provide a Christian educational perspective, which emphasises the relational and ethical strengths of the Christian faith. The buildings and grounds are attractive, modern and well-resourced. From 2006 to 2011 a very busy building program has been in action, with new facilities including a Technologies building (Music, Design and Construction, Food Tech and Textiles), a Student Assistance Centre, VCE Centre, a new Primary wing and a Science Centre. The College offers a VELS-based comprehensive curriculum that emphasises hands-on, experiential learning. Co-curricular activities such as Chapel, the Music Tuition Program, a Sustainable Living project and Outdoor Education Yrs 5 to 10 integrate many strands of learning with personal development. Special events such as the International Food Fair, Musicals, Italian Day and Sports Days are whole school events. NCC is a member of Christian Schools Australia, AISV and local school networks.
