St Mark's Coptic Orthodox College is situated in the suburb of Wattle Grove in southern Sydney. It is a Kindergarten to Year 12 co-educational college, working in partnership with parents to create a learning environment where Christian values and Coptic Orthodox tradition are the foundation of the school's practices and where students and staff feel secure and supported by all members of the school community. Whilst the Coptic faith and heritage are the main foundations of the College there are students from many different ethnic backgrounds at the College. The distinctive and continuous practice of christian love, service and humility provide students with the opportunity to develop and display a high moral standard. Our students are challenged to strive to achieve excellence and success in all areas of the curriculum. The College's Higher School Certificate results have been outstanding with each year a significant number of students being among the distinguished achievers. St Mark's runs an effective pastoral care program where the individual needs of students are well catered for. In 2010 the College will be introducing a Gifted and Talented Program for the middle years of schooling to challenge students to excel in a diverse range of subject areas.
