Coldstream Primary School has a long history of supporting and servicing the wellbeing needs of students with innovative practices and enhancement of the learning and teaching environment. The recently completed Strategic Plan has provided for a further whole school focus on teaching and learning whilst taking into account the individual needs of a socially diverse and transient population. We have a strong commitment to introducing new technologies for student and staff use. The staffing profile of the school consists of 1.0EFT Principal Class officer, 6.9 EFT teachers, a 0.4 EFT Chaplain and 3.83 EFT Educational Support Staff (including Out oF School Hours Staff) Philosophically the school remains committed to making school a fun place to learn and play, and we recognise the relative isolation that students experience. The development of the concept of taking responsibility for your actions and your learning within a set of common values has been central to this approach. The school and its Out Of School Hours program values and promotes the parent-school partnership and we rely on all school community stakeholders to create a learning environment in which students can maximise achievement. Our school community is excited to be finally moving into the new BER building and look forward to developing the flexible learning opportunities the new spaces afford.
