Maramba has and will continue to develop staff knowledge, so that we can maximise learning opportunities for children to develop their academic, physical and social potential. We are committed to improving our teaching practice and have three teachers involved in Teacher Professional Leave ensuring that we remain at the cutting edge in well researched and proven improved practice. Maramba provides a quality, comprehensive curriculum based on the Victorian Essential Learning Standards. Leadership opportunities continue to expand providing children with added opportunities to achieve. Strong links will continue to be forged with our neighbouring kindergarten and Fountain Gate Secondary College to enhance our transition programme. In addition to classroom teachers, specialist teachers cover the areas of Performing Arts, Physical Education, and Art and Craft . Specialised support is provided in English as a Second Language, Reading Recovery and Literacy Intervention with trained facilitators. The leadership team and the school staff are empowered and committed to confidently meet the educational, technological, resourcing and social challenges of the future. We continue to develop our facilities and our new gym and remodelled old gym provides children with many new learning opportunities.The school has a large range of enrichment and extension programs and actively promotes parent involvement. We also have a strong commitment to Envoronmental Education and through initiatives like the Greenhouse Games we develop strong community links and global understandings.
