Campbelltown Primary School works collaboratively with parents and the community to provide the best possible learning environment and educational outcomes for students. Our school motto, 'Connecting through learning', underpins our aim to provide a caring, secure and happy atmosphere in which the specific needs of students from about 32 different nationalities can be met. Students are encouraged to develop positive attitudes which contribute to their academic, emotional, creative, social and physical development. We have a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy throughout the school and have developed a guided approach to literacy using the 'Two Hour Literacy Block Program'. As such, teachers often work in an integrated and collaborative way. As children bring a variety of experiences to school we provide a wide range of flexible programs and methodologies, enabling them to develop at a level appropriate to their ability. Focus areas of the school include: PE (several sports teams exist), dance and drama (includes 'Jayrock'). We have integrated Information and Communication Technology into our curriculum and now have interactive whiteboards in the classrooms.
