At Alexandra Secondary College we value the strengths and talents that every student, parent and member of staff brings to our community. Each student is provided with a structured and supported pathway leading to successful study, employment or training. The needs and aspirations of each student is provided for by offering a wide range of curriculum choices and extra curriculum activities Alexandra Secondary College has 369 students. Years 7 and 8 have a core curriculum. Year 9 curriculum is a mix of core and elective units featuring an extended unit each semester in activity based learning. We offer a wide range of VCE and VET subjects. Year 10 students have access to these studies. We also offer a VCAL course. Students may undertake work placements. Our cocurricular activities include music, skiing, driver education and sports. This school has equivalent full-time staff: 2 Principal staff, 31 teachers and 11.2 Education Support staff. The College provides a positive and supportive culture with a range of primary prevention, early intervention and intervention strategies. Student engagement and wellbeing is addressed through our Advocacy program and TRIBES. Our TRIBES agreements are mutual respect, personal best, appreciations/no put downs, attentive listening and right to pass.
