Erasmus School is part of a worldwide family of schools. At the heart of our curriculum is a belief that a good education leads one to truth and fulfilment. The school teaches a philosophy of unity. The curriculum is inspired by classical works of art, music and literature. Our children are encouraged to lead a life of virtue and service. They receive a strong grounding in literacy and numeracy as well as other areas of the mainstream curriculum. The more able pupils participate in Maths extension and Latin classes. The LOTE studied in Prep to Year 6 is Sanskrit. Through love and discipline, we awaken the true knowledge and happiness that lies within. Fine art, the words of the wise and good literature all help children to connect with this inner knowledge and to find fulfilment. Pupils, teachers and parent helpers enjoy a sit down vegetarian lunch prepared fresh each day by a team of parents. Our Chaplain oversees welfare programs and relevant staff in-service. Erasmus School was established in 1996 and now has approximately 125 pupils. It has classes from Prep to Grade 6. It is governed and largely staffed by members of the school of Philosophy, Melbourne.
