John Curtin College of the Arts, Western Australia's premier college for gifted arts students, facilitates an exciting approach to learning through an arts-infused curriculum. The specialised differentiated curriculum provides all students with extension and enrichment opportunities. Rich in the history of Fremantle and the Arts, the college is 95% selective and all teachers are merit selected based on their understanding of Gifted and Talented Education. More than 1000 selected students from across the state participate in a range of Gifted and Talented Arts programs including Artsmedia, Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Drama, Music, Music Theatre and Visual Arts. The college also has a specialist Soccer Excellence Program. Students have access to state-of-the-art facilities, specialist teachers as well as links to tertiary and industry bodies. Learning occurs within a caring, supportive environment. In order to cater for the academic needs of highly able students, the college provides Academic Excellence Programs in humanities, mathematics and science.
