Albany Senior High School has a proud, traditional and rich history of academic achievement, sporting excellence and cultural life. It is a co-educational government senior high school enrolling Years 8 - 12. The school forms an integral part of the Albany community and together we celebrate our students' many achievements. The school officially opened in February 1925 at its present site, being situated on the northern slopes of Mt Clarence with sweeping panoramic views towards the Porongurup and Stirling Ranges. In 2002 a new oval, gymnasium, performing and visual arts, a canteen and alfresco dining area were completed. A comprehensive, inclusive educational program, with a full range of tertiary and vocational subjects, caters for a wide range of interests and abilities. Our students are happy, friendly and hardworking; involved in a range of academic, cultural and sporting pursuits. Students from all around the state are accommodated at the Albany Residential College (co-educational) adjacent to the school.
