St Peters Lutheran School where the message of Jesus Christ is communicated and celebrated is a caring, supportive, learning community that encourages global consciousness, responsible action and life-long learning. The school, established in 1999, provides well designed generous facilities in a quiet peaceful setting. We are proud to have the status of International Baccalaureate World School, authorised to teach the Primary Years Program. Students begin their learning journey at St Peters in our Early Learning Centre which caters for children aged from 3 to 5 years. Using a consistent approach to teaching, learning and social development, we focus on student leadership, building resilience and supporting balanced healthy lifestyle choices. St Peters Lutheran has developed a teaching and learning program that results in consistently high levels of academic achievement particularly in literacy and numeracy. Our students gain outstanding results in reading, and we have been state and national winners of Primary Mathematics Association Challenges from Reception to Year 7. The leadership programm for the Year 7 class provides a wide range of opportunities for those students to develop the skills and confidence to make presentations to small and large groups, to lead democratic decision making forums with the whole student body, and to report to their parents in student-led conferences. We also focus on the Arts and present an annual musical including every child in the school. Co-curricular activities include chess, mathematics, singing, skipping, cross-country and ICT clubs, excursions, camps, music concerts, SAPSASA and Pedal Prix. Parents are welcome to assist in classrooms in a variety of ways and to serve on sub-committees of the School Council.
