Kangaroo Inn Area School is a CPC to Year 12 school that provides a challenging learning environment in which the talents of all students are fostered. Our school is set in picturesque bushland surroundings with most students travelling on school buses. Students strive to be productive learners, well-equipped to meet future challenges in the local and global community. The school values include success, respect and integrity. Local employment includes farming, fishing, agriculture, tourism and retail. The enrolment is only around 90 students which enables the development of a caring, family atmosphere with older students mentoring their younger classmates. Teachers endeavour to provide individual learning plans for each of the students in their care with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy development. Senior school programs are tailored to the pathway chosen by each student. Most classes are taught face-to-face with some courses being accessed from other local schools, by distance education and from registered training organisations.
