St Mary's Primary School is located on the shores of Western Port Bay, Hastings. Commencing in 1919 and run for the first 60 years by the Sisters of St Joseph, a strong commitment to the core values of faith, justice and the pursuit of excellence is maintained. Specialist programs include arts, music, physical education and Italian. Staff facilitate a range of day, evening and weekend programs including play group, youth group, before and after school care, Reading Recovery, Student Welfare teams and school psychologist. The school has a computer lab and each classroom has an interactive whiteboard and four computers. A library, hall and new art room and indoor/outdoor multi-sports facility supplement an oval, basketball and volleyball courts. The entire school has been rebuilt or refurbished since 2003. Activities offered at lunchtime include: runners' club, music, library and sports. Parents are invited and encouraged to participate in all facets of the school's operation, with many taking up the opportunities offered.
