Queen of Apostles School is a Catholic school located in Stafford on the north side of Brisbane. The school is a two-campus school with Prep to Year Two located in Chuter Street, Stafford Heights and Years Three to Seven in Thuruna Street, Stafford. The school's enrolment is currently around 530 students. Queen of Apostles is a Christ-centred community of children, parents and staff. Our mission involves empowering all with the wisdom to discern, giving hope for the future through living the gospel values. Parents are involved in their children's education through the Parents and Friends Association, pastoral care program and by assisting in and outside of the classroom. The school offers a band and instrumental and strings programs as well as junior and senior choirs. Japanese is offered from Years Five to Seven. Sports coaching is offered for swimming, cross-country and athletics. Each year, the school holds a cultural day in term four to showcase the musical and artistic talents of the children. The older classes at the school 'buddy up' to nurture and support the younger children. Each year the students in Years 5 and 7 participate in a camp program. The school's curriculum is extensive with an emphasis over the last three years on developing technology in the classroom. During the next 12 months the school will be undertaking a refurbishment and building program, resulting in the refurbishment of all the learning spaces and a new two storey building with library, classrooms and covered play space. In 2010, the children in Prep to Year Seven performed the school musical 'Splash' for over 1000 guests.
