Saint Stephen's College is an independent co-educational College affiliated with the Traditional Anglican Church. Our College is located in the northern part of the Gold Coast and offers classes from Prep to Year 12, as well as child care and after school care facilities. We foster self-directed, determined, courageous and skilful people of substance who will make a positive difference to their communities. Our College has modern air-conditioned facilities, an Intensive English Centre and a broad curriculum with a strong academic tradition. Historically, our OP and NAPLAN results have consistently exceeded state and national averages, but these statistics do not give an adequate insight into our wonderful school. The vast majority of Year 12 students participate in tertiary study after graduation, but we are keen to provide the most appropriate pathway for each young man and woman. We are proud to embrace students of varying academic abilities, including some exceptional high flyers and a number of others who require additional support. Our aim is to help each of our students identify and celebrate their own special talents. From Year 4, all students compete in sporting competitions against other schools in the Associated Private Schools (APS) competition. This requires them to play in fixtures during school time and to train in their teams one afternoon after school. Every student, regardless of their age, participates in a very active inter-House competition. These are the minimum extra-curricular requirements. Beyond this, students have the opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of performing arts, outdoors and cultural activities.
