Tanduringie State School has a high-achieving culture and the social climate of the school is very positive. Our area is a traditional farming community with many children coming from surrounding cattle, dairy and grain farms nestled near the bottom of the Bunya Mountains. Many of our families supplement their farm income by working in surrounding townships.The majority of our students travel to school by bus. Our student population is traditionally non-transient and drawn from a limited geographical area. Tanduringie school offers a multi-age, co-educational continuous curriculum program across years Prep to 7. Our school has developed a whole-school literacy block program, a school-based 'Support-A-Reader' program and whole-school guided reading block, demonstrating our committment to literacy for all students which forms the foundation of all things we do.The Tanduringie Land Care group is a student body that meets to discuss and act upon school environmental issues. Our Year 5 to7 students participate in an annual design/technology program.Keeping the culture of high academic performance and satisfaction is our number one priority.
