St Anne's Catholic Primary School is a small, caring, parish-based school in Melbourne's inner-east with an enrolment of approximately 200 students. The school was opened in 1931 under the governance of the Josephite Sisters. During the 1940s, the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions took over the school. The first lay principal was appointed during the 1970s. Our motto is 'Together in Knowledge and Faith' and we live out this motto through our core values of love, respect, justice and freedom. We are proud of our students' achievements in their academic, sporting and artistic endeavours. The school's physical resources have been enhanced by regular refurbishment and improvements. A new multi-purpose hall and a landscaped playground have further enhanced our marvellous school. Our parent community are very involved in school life through a very active Parents and Friends Association, a Class Reps group and a reliable band of well-trained literacy helpers. We offer before and after school care programs in conjunction with our neighbouring school.
