Traralgon College's purpose is to provide a safe, engaging and challenging learning environment which enables students to achieve their best. Our work as a school is based on the beliefs that: (i)everyone is capable of learning (ii) the most significant factor in learning is the belief of the learners in their ability to learn. We are a dual campus college with a junior (Yrs 7-9) and senior (Yrs 10-12) campus serving approximately 1200 students. Being the largest secondary college in the Latrobe Valley we offer a wide range of programs including the full range of senior programs of VET, VCAL and VCE and a program for talented students called “Like Minds” at the junior campus. The junior campus has recently been completely rebuilt and the senior campus refurbished. As well as the academic program students have many opportunities to pursue areas of interest and or seek extra support through our wide range of programs including: Hands on Learning, Rock Eisteddfod, a Biennial Arts Festival and Production, Deb Balls, International Exchange Programs with Taizhou in China and Ibbenburen in Germany, sport trips, an excellent relationship with Monash University, a work experience program, and an outsourced Community VCAL program. Traralgon College focuses on continuous improvement through staff performance and development (P&D) teams for both teaching and support staff These teams draw on expertise from within the college, other schools, research and education experts to ensure that we are always striving to deliver the best possible education to our students.
